Festival calendar of Arunachal Pradesh

The folk festivals and celebrations in Arunachal Pradesh are as diverse as the cultures and traditions. In the cities and settlement areas with a predominantly immigrant population, Christian holidays are celebrated alongside Hindu festivals – which are based on the lunar calendar. Many traditions and festivals of the more isolated tribal populations are influenced by Buddhism, while others are completely unique and are celebrated exclusively by individual tribes.
