Brahmaputra River Cruise: A Journey Through Time

On board the private cruise ship
No visit to Northeast India would be complete without experiencing the magnificent Brahmaputra River. Enjoy the passing natural landscapes on a private river cruise and feel the gentle breeze as you glide past shores teeming with wildlife and birds. Picture yourself on the sun deck, watching the fiery colors of the sunset reflect on the water, while the calls of distant birds echo on the horizon. The three-day river cruise with four nights in a comfortable cabin offers not only a glimpse into the untouched beauty of the region but also invites rejuvenation and inspiration as the mighty river carries you through its timeless landscapes.

Majuli River Island: An Oasis of Spirituality and Culture

The river cruise also takes you to Majuli, the world’s largest freshwater river island, nestled in the Brahmaputra river. Here time seems to slow down as you stroll through peaceful villages where traditional pottery, mask-making and ancient crafts have been preserved for centuries. The island is also the heart of Assam’s unique Vaishnavite culture and home to sacred monasteries called “Satras». Here monks live a life of devotion through music, dance, and art.

In Majuli, the tranquility of rural life meets the spirituality of centuries-old traditions, creating an atmosphere that resonates in your soul long after your visit. You will be captivated not only by the sights but also by the warm hospitality of the locals, whose traditions have been passed down through generations.

The Mystique of Kaziranga National Park

On safari in the realm of the armoured rhinoceros
After your experience on the Brahmaputra, we will take you to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to two-thirds of the world’s population of one-horned rhinoceroses. On private jeep safaris, you’ll have the chance to see these majestic creatures grazing in the early morning mist. Feel your heart race as you spot the elusive Bengal tiger or marvel at the graceful elephants moving majestically through the grasslands. Kaziranga is more than just a park – it is a sanctuary where wilderness reigns and you become part of nature’s eternal dance.

Paradise for birdwatchers
The rich diversity of wildlife in the park does not stop at mammals. As you venture deeper into the heart of Kaziranga, the air comes alive with the calls of rare bird species such as the great Indian hornbill and adjutant storks. Watch otters playfully fishing in the streams, while eagles and vultures soar above, casting shadows over the golden plains below.

Hilly Meghalaya: The Land of Clouds

Natural wonders and sacred sites
Our journey then leads you to the breathtaking state of Meghalaya, where nature unfolds on an epic scale. Known as the “Abode of Clouds,” this land is home to the rain-soaked plateaus of Cherrapunjee, with cascading waterfalls plunging into lush valleys. Hike through ancient sacred groves, where towering trees tell the stories of the Khasi people and discover the living root bridges, natural wonders that have stood the test of time.

The living bridges of Meghalaya
Living root bridges are a remarkable example of sustainable engineering found primarily in the Khasi and Jaintia hills of Meghalaya. These bridges are made by training the roots of the rubber tree (Ficus elastica) to grow across rivers and ravines, creating natural, sturdy walkways.

As you gaze from the cliffs of Cherrapunjee over the vast plains of Bangladesh, you will feel as if you are on the edge of the world.

Shillong, capital of Meghalaya: where tradition meets modernity
In Meghalaya’s capital Shillong you will discover a city where colonial charm meets the vibrancy of a modern community. Explore local markets, taste traditional Khasi cuisine, and immerse yourself in the rhythm of this lively city.
